  • Listening to: Devil Got My Woman - Skip James
  • Reading: The Order of Things - Michel Foucault
So it seems that i have to cross off "walking" from my few remaining skills on my C.V. (I believe I am down to just 'Self-Delusion' and 'James Brown Impressions' now...). My pronounced inability at essentially putting one foot in front of the other rewarded me with a six hour stint in The Royal London Hospital A&E (apparently THE place-to-be if you enjoy shouting at various inanimate pieces of waiting room furniture) compliments of a torn ligament in my ankle. I'm not looking for sympathy (though I will be accepting cash sums in its place - if interested contact me further about arranging a direct debit) as it was my own stupid fault, something which I am paying for now as I can no longer attend the 'University of London Harry Potter Society Quiddich Match in Regent's Park'* (*I hasten to add the society is tongue-in-cheek. And that while I am not a huge Harry Potter Fanatic - I am still very sad).
'What has this got to do with anything you melodramatic twat!?' I hear you cry (Presumably alongside "Why am I reading this?!") - well absolutely nothing except that my lack of mobility (I am currently perched at my desk, one foot elevated on the desk with some peas on the offending ankle and currently walk with a shambling ineptitude reminiscent of various zombie B-Movies) means that despite actually having a few ideas my photography output is likely to be nil for the next few weeks... Tragedy, I know... try not to weep.

Anywho Just one quick thing for the stalkers out there (and I know there are because that’s why I had to move to this account with brand new stuff - though I am trying not to think too much about it as it has been the closest thing to resemble a relationship for the last 7 - 8 months) I recently saw the film 'Ghost World' and it is officially THE BEST film ever (I apologise I seem to have lurched into stereotypically annoying girl from an American High School film) for several reasons, the wit, sophistication, the script, the fact that it reintroduced me to Skip James and other old school Blues Music (Amazing) and introduced me to 60's Bollywood Music which I am currently exploring as we speak. But most of all its probably the fact that Enid IS me - and this is the first time I have actually identified with a character in a film. So if you want to see what I'm actually like watch the film. The only real exception is that unlike Enid I also have an externalised border-line special needs pre-disposition of smileyness when I’m around people. Oh and I also do try to talk to other people. Even if they are twats.

And on that bafflingly Narcissistic and downbeat ending I will leave it at that.
